Wastewater Management Gravity Sewers and Appurtenances

Course Description:

This course provides information, instructions, procedures and criteria for the design of gravity sanitary and industrial waste-water collection systems for fixed Army and Air Force installations, and any applicable special projects.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Be familiar with the alternatives to gravity sewers
• Understand the hydraulic design of sewers
• Understand sewer system appurtenances
• Know the factors that should be considered in selection of sewer pipe materials and piping systems
