Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to highlight important building connections and illustrate the proper use of various types of connection hardware in coastal construction.

• Understand acceptable and non-acceptable methods for resisting uplift loads in high-wind regions
• Understand truss member connections
• Understand the typical connectors used in residential construction
• Learn how roof-to-wall connections should be made
