Tiling Roofing for High-Wind Areas

Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to provide recommended practices for designing and installing extruded concrete and clay tiles that will enhance wind resistance in high-wind areas.

Learning Objectives:

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand tile roof attachment methods.
• Understand how to classify buildings in categories I through IV.
• Understand the importance of a designated quality control inspector.
• Learn roof corner and perimeter enhancements.
