This course discusses:
• the planning, design, operation and maintenance requirements for renewable energy produced by wind driven utility scaled (greater than 1 MW total output) horizontal axis wind turbines;
• photovoltaic power generating systems, with typical photovoltaic power generating applications and defines the data that must be developed to establish engineering design bases, to evaluate between various solar photovoltaic designs and ownership alternatives for utility scaled photovoltaic systems;
• planning, design, operation and maintenance requirements, and equipment calibration for landfill gas collection and processing systems;
• typical applications and data development requirements to establish design criteria for a geothermal power generation plant, the data development requirements to establish design criteria for a geothermal power generation plant. typical applications and defines the data development requirements to establish design criteria for a geothermal power generation plant, and
• solid waste to energy conversion which is a biomass process that converts solid waste into various forms of fuel that can be used to produce thermal and electrical energy.
