Course Description:

The purpose of this course is to provide guidance and information related to the instrumentation of concrete structures and the measurement of structural behavior.

Upon successful completion of this course, participants will be able to:

• Understand the consequences of the failure of a concrete dam or intake tower when subjected to an earthquake.
• Learn the reasons why instrumentation automation is increasingly becoming a valuable means of collecting instrument data for several reasons.
• Learn the guidelines for conducting a design review.
• Learn what the conventional plumb line system is composed of.
